Flossing Tips
Flossing:
Brushing alone only cleans about two-thirds of your teeth.it's never too late to start flossing.
Flossing tips:
- Floss at least once a day. Flossing before bedtime is preferred, but you can floss any time during the day. Find a time that works for you and maintain that as a part of your daily routine.
When you first start flossing your gums may bleed. After a couple of weeks of regular flossing this should stop. If bleeding persists speak to your dentist.
Be gentle. Aggressive flossing can hurt your gums.
Floss between all your teeth and behind your back teeth.
For more tips on flossing talk to your dentist about different flossing options like inter proximal brushes, floss holders, dental tape and waterpik.
