Fluoride Rinse
DOES FLUORIDE RINSE PREVENT CAVITIES?
Fluoride protects tooth enamel against acid attacks and repairs the early stages of tooth decay. The rinse for daily use is usually made up of sodium fluoride.
It is recommended for :
Tooth Decay due to dry mouth
Root cavity due to gum disease and gum recession
increase in number of cavities around fillings, crowns and bridges
Fluoride rinses are intended for people with a high risk of decay only.
Children under six years old should not use a fluoride rinse due to the chance of ingestion.
